Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. We have done this once before two years ago, and we really like it. Of course there is nothing like being with extended family, but it is nice not to have to travel. Like two years ago, we had dinner with our good friends the Crowe's. Kami and I each make half of the dinner and we ate it at our house. Dinner turned out really good! I made homemade pumpkin and banana creme pies for the first time, which was fun. Dave got off work early on Wednesday and helped me do some of the prep and mostly played with the kids. He cooked the turkey this year, and it was perfect! After eating, we went to the Bass Pro Shop and did some Christmas crafts and had our annual picture with Santa Claus. The next morning we all woke up real early (which has nothing to do with Black Friday, my kids get up at 5 am every morning) and did some shopping. We went to Town Square and it was so nice!  The stores all had great deals, but there weren't a ton of people, it actually seemed less crowded then a normal day. At the park they had a free breakfast and hot chocolate bar and crafts for the kids, which my kids loved! The rest of the weekend we put up our Christmas decorations, watched movies and had fun together!
