It seems like we anticipate Madi's birthday for a long time, at least one of us does. This year we started celebrating early because she wanted a build a bear. So when we went to Heber earlier in the month we stopped in Provo so she could build one. We let Brock do one too and they had a blast. Madi chose a hear bear with a birthday song, and birthday tutu outfit and cupcake. Brock chose a bear with a fishing outfit and the Star Wars theme song. We don't ever watch Star Wars, so I think he just liked the tune. On her actual birthday Brock and I brought donuts to her class and we had pizza and cupcakes for dinner. At 7 years old she weighs 58 lbs (81%) and 47 inches (33%). According to our Dr. she should be between 5'2 and 5'4. Madi lives life to the fullest, she is 100% invested. I've really enjoyed hearing all about her school and how well she is doing in 1st grade. We are still working on finding the right fit for her in sports, but for now she continues to do circles around all of us. She rides her scooter to school each day and usually packs her own lunch, unless the school lunch looks good (maybe once a week). She still loves playing with friends and collects shopkins. She also likes baby alive, barbies, crafts of any kind and being in charge. I love doing her hair and painting her nails, and she lets me (sometimes, and usually with kicking and screaming). We sure love our cute birthday girl!
