Our last month living in Vegas was spent packing and cleaning, minor repairs, hanging out with friends as much as possible, and farewell parties. The good thing about our long goodbye was that we got to have lots of parties! We were also looking for houses like crazy in St. George. I would look them up online, and if we were interested, Dave would go look at them in person at night or on his lunch breaks. It was frustrating for me to be so far away, but it was the best we could do. We had a farewell party in January when we were supposed to be moving at the Scroggin's house. It was a joint party with the Asher's who were also moving that month. It was really fun to chat with all our great friends we made from our ward. We became very close to a lot of people, and met some truly great families. Since we were still around in April, some of our favorite people, Stan and Sheila Lewis threw a swim party at their house for us. The have the best backyard and pool, and it was Madi and Brock's favorite place to swim. Stan and Sheila are some of the most generous and fun people I know. They love to have parties and their house was always an open invitation. Our last time there they invited lots of our friends and had a BBQ with ribs and all the fixings. It was one of my favorite nights. Dave and I joke that when we grow up, we want to be just like them! We were so blessed with great people and examples during our time in Vegas. I will never forget them!
