Dave had been traveling nonstop for three weeks, so when his last week was in SLC, he booked us a room for the weekend, and we joined him. We go to Heber and Midway a lot, but it had been a while since I spent much time in downtown. We got really lucky and got to spend a few hours at the zoo with Dyan Johnson, one of my best friends from high school. The kids loved swimming in the pool, playing at the zoo, Liberty Park, eating lots of treats, and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Gertsch. Grandpa Gertsch took Brock fishing, and Brock fell in LOVE. We bought him a pole and gear, and he asks to go ALL the TIME. We also got to attend Nola's family reunion and see the house she grew up in Hoytsville and meet some of her family. It was a much needed weekend away!
