4th of July Weekend

The fourth of July weekend fell smack dab in the middle of a couple of vacations, so we decided to stay home and do our own thing.  We had a great weekend, we started out by visiting Little Jamaica, which is near Mesquite. It was a fun little water hole, the kids swam in the little pool, jumped off cliffs, climbed on the waterfall, and played in the river.  It was the perfect activity for the 110 degree weather that day! On Saturday we went to the Washington City celebration where the kids played little carnival games, and later we went on a 6 mile bike ride that went to the the Duck Pond where we played for a bit.  I love riding bikes with my kids, and they are slowing starting to like it too.  We haven't figured out what to do with Ella, since she climbs out of the trailer. Dave puts her in the baby bjorn, and that works okay, but she still wants to get out constantly!  Oh well, soon enough she will be old enough to ride her own bike! Holiday weekends with just my family are my favorite!
